Contract Medical Cleaning

When it comes to specialist cleaning, it is generally agreed by many institutions that outsourcing medical cleaning is more cost effective and more efficient. One of the main reasons for this is that a private contractor is able to take advantage of economies of scale, from training, through to purchasing products and equipment.

Training

At BoxerFM we keep up to date with the constant changes within the medical cleaning industry and can ensure high standards are met. We provide the highest quality medical cleaning service, particularly when compared to using a regular cleaning service. Medical cleaning has specialised procedures, and our operatives undergo a higher level of training related to medical awareness to keep safe when working around harmful pathogens. Our employees are trained in protecting themselves and minimising the risk of contracting an illness themselves or causing contamination to others.

Health and Safety

Not every job is the same and so for this reason, and to meet the high requirements of our clients, we draw up a risk assessment and method statement for each specific job. This also contains detailed information on PPE (personal protective equipment) and COSHH (Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health). We use specialist equipment that is well maintained. For example, a vacuum cleaner that is not properly filtered can blow viral and bacterial pathogens into the air increasing the risks of infection. At Boxer FM we take the health and safety of our clients and staff very seriously.

What can you do to help contain infection?

Removing clutter is one thing that really helps. Clutter slows the process of disinfecting surfaces and so having less clutter actually contributes to infection control. Medical cleaning is more intensive and requires many more surfaces to be considered compared to a regular cleaning service. Ask staff to be considerate to others, cough/sneeze into a tissue and dispose of it immediately, regularly wash hands and follow government advice.

Cleanliness contributes to Infection control

There is a well-known connection between poor environmental hygiene and the transmission of micro-organisms. Medical cleaning clearly provides us with numerous unique challenges. You can be assured that, at BoxerFM, we follow best practices and never compromise on the critical nature of our work.
