raising standards of cleaning
Are you happy with the standards of your cleaning?
Today, more than ever, with the Covid-19 situation, ensuring that the standards of your cleaning are top notch, is vital.
We understand that companies can be reluctant to change their existing cleaning company, even though they may not be happy with them. This is often because they have built up a trusting relationship with their cleaning staff over time.
Changing your cleaning company does not necessarily mean you will lose your cleaning operatives. Transfer of Undertakings Protection of Employment (TUPE) protects cleaning staff. We have years of experience with TUPE and understand how vital it is to support all staff we take on and provide them with the management, training and the correct cleaning materials to enable them to improve the cleaning standards of your workplace.
How can BoxerFM make a difference?
Below are examples of how we can make a difference from the moment we take over your cleaning contract:
Health and Safety information displayed in the cleaners cupboard
By law, we have to protect our staff and clients by displaying signage around COSHH, insurance, dilution, etc.
Remove wooden mop stales
Wooden mop handles should not be used, the wood harbours bacteria and they can not be cleaned properly. These are our of date and we do not use them.
Colour coding
Colour coding is how we can stop cross contamination in the workplace. Colour coding in BoxerFM is strict and checked on our visits. We often observe that the same cloths have been left around sites, this indicates poor training and management.
Chemicals on site
We also observe that restrooms and kitchens have cleaning chemicals left out. This reflects poor housekeeping and lack of following COSHH training. This must stop immediately as people could be at risk, and we train staff to ensure better management of chemicals.
Mops and equipment storage
We often witness mops being left in the same bucket. If these mops have been used in different areas of the building, such as toilets and kitchen, and they are then stored touching each other, this will cause cross contamination. BoxerFM will not allow this to happen on sites we look after, we ensure that our operatives are trained and managed to ensure their equipment is stored appropriately.
Providing instant improvements
During the TUPE process, our housekeeping expectations are explained to the operatives and this is followed up in practice. We continue observations and spot checks to ensure this is happening and failure will result in quick action being taken. All equipment on site will be replaced to new modern cleaning equipment and chemicals being used are medical grade. This will instantly sanitise the site. In the first shift additional cleaning will also be provided as we are then able to provide practical training with the staff, so they are shown the correct way to clean. This will instantly lift the cleaning standards.
Assigned Management Team
Boxer FM assign members of the Boxer Management Team when we takeover. These Managers are available for any feedback issues and work hard with the team to ensure instant improvements are made and continued from day one. Our training is both practical and ongoing. Online modules are sent to staff to give them knowledge and make them feel proud of the job they are doing.
We train the staff to improve their methods, with correct training, equipment and management we believe that through positive support we can change the attitudes of cleaning staff. Management plays a huge part in how well cleaners perform. We can motivate the current team to perform better. You will have continued support from our Managers and mobile cleaning team, so that you are getting the standards and improved service that BoxerFM have promised. We are committed to getting things right from day one and look forward to the challenge of improving the current situation you are experiencing.
Encouraging feedback
We encourage feedback and comments as we can then act quickly to meet expectations. BoxerFM have built an electronic audit bespoke to all clients, to carry out with a representative from the site, so we can successfully align expectations. This is monitored by us and a report shared with you every month.
Our aim is to improve your cleaning provision
