supporting the well being of our staff with Bupa

Supporting the well being of our staff

Our staff numbers have increased enormously over the last couple of years. Ensuring that our new recruits are fully trained in the tasks they perform, as well as in their health and safety, is of paramount importance for both them and our business.

our staff matter

The continued success and growth of our business is directly related to the health and well being of our staff.

Recent research showed that:

  • 70 million working days are lost each year due to mental ill health

  • just over half of employees are kept awake at night by work stress

  • nearly three quarters of respondents believe that employers should be doing more to support struggling staff members

We want to ensure that our employees aren’t just thought of with regard to their physical well being, but with their mental health as well.

we offer the Bupa Employee Assistance Programme (EPA)

Proactive well being can help keep our employees mental resilience. The stresses and strains of work and life can be a challenge for anyone, so being able to share a problem, in confidence, can really help put things into perspective and improve that persons mental well being.

The Bupa EAP provides a confidential mental health and well being support service by offering expert support to help individuals take control of their situation. Our employees can talk to a counsellor at any time of day or night, which we hope will give them a chance to resolve their issues early on.

duty of care

We understand that we have a duty of care as an employer, by offering expert support to help our staff, we believe will help in their mental well being. If our staff are happy, we are happy too.
